Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling in Arlington Heights, IL
Located about 25 miles northwest of the city of Chicago, Arlington Heights, IL is known for its “unique blend of old and new.”
The village was founded in the mid 1800s by Asa Dunton and his family of stonecutters. Originally known as the “Town of Dutton,” Arlington Heights began as a farming community with a popular stop on the local railroad.
As the community continued its growth, the village’s activity centered around that train depot and a natural downtown developed. Today, the train still runs through a vibrant downtown and the station is a stop on the Metra commuter Union Pacific Northwest line.
While the village has seen steady growth in its 160 years, the population boomed during the 1950s and 1960s, and today the population is about 75,000 people. Arlington Heights has the unique distinction of being the largest town in the United States with the legal “Village” designation.
Arlington Heights is a wonderful town for young families, but there are also a plethora of local entertainment activities, including the nationally known Arlington Park Race Track, which hosts the annual Arlington Million Breeders’ Cup horse race.
